Onur Hamilton Karaoğlu is an artist working across performance, moving image, installation, and theater. His practice investigates erased histories, queer grief, and the relationship between memory, place, and archival absence.

Karaoğlu’s work has been presented internationally since 2010 by institutions and festivals including Wiener Festwochen, Volksbühne Berlin, Dancing on the Edge, Sharjah Biennial, Protocinema.

Karaoğlu holds a BA in Sociology from Boğaziçi University and an MFA in Theatre Directing from Columbia University in New York. He is a recipient of the 2025-26 Weltoffenes Berlin Fellowship supported by the Berlin Senate and nGbK. He previously served as the director of Orhan Pamuk’s Museum of Innocence, co-founded the independent performance platform KÖŞE, and has taught performance at Boğaziçi University and Koç University.

Karaoğlu’nun çalışmaları, 2010 yılından bu yana Wiener Festwochen, Volksbühne Berlin, Dancing on the Edge, Sharjah Bienali, Protocinema ve Cité internationale des arts gibi kurum ve festivaller tarafından uluslararası alanda sergilenmiştir.

Karaoğlu, Boğaziçi Üniversitesi’nden Sosyoloji lisans derecesine ve New York’taki Columbia Üniversitesi’nden Tiyatro Yönetmenliği yüksek lisans derecesine sahip. Berlin Senatosu ve nGbK tarafından desteklenen 2025–26 Weltoffenes Berlin Bursu’nu kazanmıştır. Daha önce Orhan Pamuk’un Masumiyet Müzesi’nin direktörlüğünü yapmış, bağımsız performans alanı KÖŞE’nin kurucu ortağı olmuş ve Boğaziçi Üniversitesi ile Koç Üniversitesi’nde performans dersleri vermiştir.
